Patrick R. Hernon

WARREN a�" Patrick Richard Hernon, 63, left this earth after a short illness on Monday, Sept. 18, 2017.

Patrick was born Aug. 2, 1954, in Warren, to Roger and Jacqueline Carter Hernon.

Pat was an artist and active member of Trumbull Art Gallery and Trumbull Area Artists who had numerous showings and awards and counted among his friends many of the TAG and TAA artists and coordinators.

He spent some time honing his craft when he stayed in Pacific Palisades, Calif., and drew on his many life experiences to create artistic works from his unique perspective. He traveled the U.S. and Canada extensively and the time that he spent in Europe inspired his "Blue Danube" and numerous paintings and drawings. Although he attended Youngstown State University, he was not academically trained; rather he was trained from the experience of life in the creation of his art.

Pat was well read and was able to engage in thoughtful discussions on many subjects, and often from a distinctive perspective. He was loved and will be missed by many.

Jacqueline and Roger Hernon preceded him in death.

He is survived by his adoptive mother, Norma; and brothers, Gary (Angelica) of Clearwater, Fla., Brian of Albuquerque, N.M., Kevin (Karen) of Ashtabula, Scott (Doreen) of Palm Harbor, Fla., Tim (Kathy) of New Hampshire, Brendan (Lori) of Warren, Hugh of Columbus and Donogh (Jozefa) of Columbus. He also is survived by his caretaker and loving aunt, Patricia Carter Galgozy.

Hospice was at his side as he quietly passed. There will be no calling hours.
