Olive A. Cone

Olive Amelia (Gilmore) Cone, 95, formerly of Warren, died 12:45 AM Monday, July 26, 2004 at Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mt. Vernon. She was born Tuesday, September 1, 1908, in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, the daughter of the late Hugh and Lena (Knowles) Gilmore.

Mrs. Cone was a 1927 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and retired from Warren G. Harding after 21 years as a baker. She belonged to Tod Avenue United Methodist Church; Morning Light #80 O.E.S.; Trinity Shrine #42; Warren Assembly #77, Social Order of the Beauceant, of which she was a past-president; and Phoenix Ch. #329, of which she was a past matron.

Surviving Mrs. Cone is a niece, Paula Staib of Parkman, and three other nieces by marriage.

Preceding Mrs. Cone in death are her parents; her husband, Jamie M. Cone, whom she married September 16, 1928 and who died February 9, 1981; and a brother, Robert Gilmore.

Services for Mrs. Cone will be 1:00 PM Thursday, July 29, 2004 at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481, with Rev. Anita Rayburn of Tod Avenue United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Overlook Cemetery in Parkman. Friends may call at the funeral home an hour before the service. Morning Light Chapter #80 will conduct an Eastern Star service at 12:00 Noon Thursday at the funeral home. Material contributions may be made to the Ohio Eastern Star Home, 1451 Gambier Rd., Mt.
