Norman E. Wallingford

Champion- Norman E. Wallingford, 84 of Champion Twp., OH, died Sunday, May 7, 2006 in Glenellen Senior Suites and Villas - Lakeside. He was born Wednesday, January 18, 1922 in Epworth, KY, the son of the late Pierce and Pearl Mae (Garrett) Wallingford .He worked as a Truck Driver for Dorwkin Trucking and JM Barbe Trucking. He was a member of the Champion Christian Church and was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of Carroll F. Clapp Lodge, Ali Baba Grotto, Trumbull, Shrine, and Disabled American Veterans and was a Kentucky Colonel.

He will be missed by surviving daughters, Mrs. Michael (Barbara) Wilkinson of Vienna, OH, Mrs. Robert (Brenda) Douce of Randolph, OH, Mrs. Joseph (Belinda) Hierro of Boardman, OH; companion Margaret Smyth of Champion Twp. Oh, sister Bessie Adams of Manchester OH, and seven Grandchildren, six Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Doreen Wallingford on July 8, 1996.whom he married October 31, 1947, He is also preceded in death by sister: Alice Whisner and brother Veron Wallingford. Services will be held at The McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at 11:00 AM with The Rev. Kenneth Hopkins officiating. Calling hours are 6-8, Tuesday, May 9 at the at the McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren, OH. Interment will follow in the Pineview Cemetery; Warren, Ohio. Carroll F. Clapp lodge will conduct services at the funeral home Tuesday at 5:45 PM.
