Norma P. Cole

HOWLAND, OH - Norma P. Cole, 77, passed peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, March 26, 2013. She was born November 2, 1935 in Warren to the late Leonard and Florence (Stephens) Cole.

Norma attended Howland High School then went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree from Trebecca Nazarene College in TN. She retired after 28 years of teaching in the Warren City Schools at Secrest Elementary. She was an avid reader, loved children and animals, especially her cat. Norma was a member of the Cortland Church of the Nazarene, Northeast Ohio Teachers Assoc., Ohio Education Assoc. and Trumbull Retired Teachers.

Cherished memories will be carried on by her nieces, Ruth (Timothy) Johnson of Medina, Linda (Bob) Fox of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Donna (David) Orr of Rhome, TX, Sandy Caraway of Warren; nephews, Donald (Kay) Cole of Warren, Leonard (Mary) Cole of Newnan, GA; 8 great nieces & nephews and her best friend, Janet (Lynn) Burkey of Cortland.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Donald, Leonard and Harold Cole.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Cortland Church of the Nazarene, 293 E. Main Street, Cortland, OH 44410 with the Pastor Fred Blauser officiating.
