Nellie Guenzi

Nellie L. (Sherbondy) Guenzi, 86, of Lebanon, Ohio and formerly of Warren, Ohio, passed away in Dayton, Ohio at Hospice of Dayton, on Tuesday, August 5, 2003.

She was born Sunday, February 4, 1917, in Greenville, PA to the late Frank E. and Martha Gunter Sherbondy.

Mrs. Guenzi lived in Warren for 47 years before moving to Lebanon. She was employed at Packard Electric Division of GM for 24 years as an assembler. She was also a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Warren.

She married Thomas Guenzi, who preceded her in death on February 17, 1982, on November 21, 1933. Also preceding Nellie in death is a son, Thomas L. Guenzi, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

She is survived by a son, Richard Guenzi of Lebanon, OH; a sister, Nora Long of Greenville, PA; and 3 grandchildren, Alisa Nicely, Rebecca Guenzi and Thomas Guenzi.

Funeral services will be held at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481 on Friday, August 8, 2003 at 12 Noon, with Rev. Robert Lindberg of Christ Episcopal Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM until 12 Noon. Burial will be at Crown Hill Burial Park, in Vienna, OH.
