Naoma A. Hurd, 70, of Warren, died Friday, July 15, 2005 at Imperial Skilled Care Center. She was born May 27, 1935 in Falls Creek, Pa., the daughter of the late Cleophus Willie and Leona Henrietta Emma Byer Cole, and had lived in the Warren area for over 60 years.
Mrs. Hurd was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and had worked as an administrator for American Title Service. She attended St. Paul Church of God in Christ, had served as a missionary, evangelist, Sunday School teacher, and had been secretary to the church and the pastor. She belonged to the Warren Business Association and the Warren Toastmasters.
Surviving Mrs. Hurd are her husband, Robert L. Hurd, whom she married June 4, 1955; a son, Rev. Dr. G. Emery (Sue) Hurd of Cheyenne, Wyoming; two granddaughters: Crystal Sue (Nick) Graf and Tiffany Elizabeth Hurd, both of Wyoming; and a sister, Karen Reams of Oklahoma.
Her parents preceded her in death.
There are no services or calling hours. Cremation will take place. Material contributions may be made to the Cheyenne Brethren Church, 2600 East 12th Street, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82001.
