Nancy L. Woodworth Elson, 85, of Girard, died Monday, May 21, 2012 at Hospice House in Poland. She was born January 13, 1927 in Pueblo, Colo., the daughter of Rei Christopher and Martha (Chaffee) Christopher Fritz, and had lived in Trumbull County since 1934.

A graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Nancy worked for 32 years as a department manager for Sears, 24 years in drapery and 8 years in ladies fashions. An avid card player, she could be seen enjoying card games at SCOPE in Niles and Howland. She was also fond of gardening and traveling.

Surviving are many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her first husband, Donald Woodworth; her second husband, Delmar Elson; two infant daughters, Martha Lee and Barbara Ann Woodworth; and a sister, Mary Catherine Jenkins.

Her life will be celebrated with a service at 12:00 noon Friday, May 25, 2012 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Michael Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park. Friends may call 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Friday at the funeral home. Material contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, Ohio 44512.
