Nancy Packard

Leavittsburg, Ohio - Nancy H. Packard, 68, died Tuesday, February 28, 2017 of Multiple Myeloma at the Avenue of Aurora in Aurora, OH. She was born on September 21, 1948 in Elkins, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Bunnah and Norma Starcher Hardway.

Nancy was employed by Portage Co. District Library as the Manager of the Windham Library. She graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1966 and earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Library Information Science at Kent State University.

She was past president of Warren Township Ladies Auxiliary and past president of the LaBrae Band Boosters. She was a member of the Moring Light Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and volunteered at the Packard Museum. She enjoyed camping, cross stitch and family vacations. She served a library aid at LaBrae School System and as a librarian at the Youngstown Public Library. Nancy also worked as a Pharmacy Tech at Rite-Aid and Walgreen's.

Memories of Nancy will be carried on by husband, Harry L. Packard of Leavittsburg, son, Keith (Kristina) Packard of Aurora, daughter, Denise (Ted) Falatic of Leavittsburg, grandchildren, Thomas and Matthew Packard, Rebecca Falatic, brother, Gordon (Ginger) Hardway of NV, sisters, Norma Patchin of Warren, Fran (Larry) Rafaiani of Cortland, Phyllis (Joseph) Santinoceto of VA, and brother-in-law, William Dorsey of Warren

She was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Dorsey.

Family will receive friends Monday, March 6, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and one hour before services at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren. Services will be held at. Tuesday March 7, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Services of final committal will follow at Pine Knoll Cemetery in Leavittsburg.

Nancy's family would like to thank the staff at The Avenue at Aurora for the excelent care the gave Nancy the last few months and Crossroads Hospice care for making her few days peaceful. We would like to thank Dr. E. Krishman and staff and the staff at St. Joseph's Cancer Center for everything the last four years, the staff at the Cleveland Clinic seventh floor oncology department and especially Dr. Jason Valent, oncologist at the Cleveland Clinic.
