Mildred W. Welty, 87, of Bristolville, died Tuesday, September 13, 2011 in the emergency room of St. Joseph Health Center in Warren. She was born March 29, 1924 in Bristolville, the daughter of Herbert and Eva (Pingley) Wilson, and had lived in Trumbull County all her life.
A 1942 graduate of Bristol High School, Mrs. Welty worked as a secretary for Warren Tool and retired from Wean United. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, the D.A.R., and the V.F.W.
Surviving are three nieces: Margaret Swager of Bristolville, Sarah Cross, and Mary Jane Woodsides; five nephews: Jim and Jack Criddle, Bill Sass, Herb Wilson, and Albert Lee Goodwin; and her good friend and companion, Charlie Lucik of Bristolville. Preceding her in death are her husband, Albert "Tuck" Welty, who died in 1982; three sisters: Virginia Criddle, Mary Wilson, and Wanda Sass; two brothers: William Cliff Wilson and Herbert Wilson, Jr., and two nieces: Dorothy Mandrean and Holly Sass.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2011 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Dan Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Sager Cemetery in Bristolville. Friends may call 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Material contributions may be made to Otterbein United Methodist Church, 1128 State Rd. N.W., Warren, Ohio 44481.
