Mildred Grace Knepper, 93, of Champion, died Saturday, October 9, 2010 at White Oak Manor in Warren. She was born February 17, 1917 in Canonsburg, Pa., the daughter of John W. and Edith M. (Radcliffe) Frazier, and had lived in Trumbull County most of her life.
A graduate of Leavittsburg High School, Mrs. Knepper had worked as a legal secretary. She enjoyed animals and stuffed animals. She also enjoyed traveling. Her travels took her all over the U.S.
Surviving are three children: Carol Jean (Tom) Obenland, of Port Orchard, Washington, Dolores Flower of Nashville, Tenn., and Billie Jeanne Knepper (Paul Newhaus) of Santa Clara, Calif.; six grandchildren: Cynthia J. Obenland of Annapolis, Md., Beth Ann (Mike) Schwartz of Norcross, Ga., Doug (Kelli) Flower of Nashville, Derek (Kim) Flower of Big Canoe, Ga., and Darius and Gabrial Knepper, both of Santa Clara, Calif.; and two great-grandsons, Townshend Maxwell and Jonathan Asher Flower. Preceding her in death are her parents; two husbands, Herbert E. McQuiney and William C. Knepper; and four sisters: Evelyn Louise Piltz, Mary Unks, Martha Smith, and June Frazier.
Cremation is taking place. Her urn will be laid to rest at a later date at Champion Township Cemetery. Material contributions may be made to the Animal Welfare League, 545 Brunstetter Rd. S.W., Warren, Ohio 44481.
