Mildred L. Kingdom

Mildred L. Kingdom, 95, formerly of Warren, died 11:45 PM Saturday, April 22, 2006 at Caprice Healthcare Center in North Lima. She was born January 1, 1911 in Warren, the daughter of Perry W. and Bess Dunbar Kingdom.

Mildred attended Kent Normal School, Hiram College, and graduated from Youngstown State University. She taught elementary school in Howland and in Warren at First Street, Market Street, and Elm Road schools, retiring in 1967 after 35 years of service. She was a life member of the National Retired Teachers Association and the Trumbull County Retired Teachers Association; a member of the Ohio Retired Teachers Association; a 70 year-plus member of Warren Rebekah Lodge #453 and a Past Noble Grand of the Lodge; a member of Ali Baba Caldron, Daughters of Mokanna; a member of the Mary Chesney Chapter, N.S.D.A.R.; a member of Canfield Christian Church; and a former member of Howland Community Church.

She is survived by her sister, Martha Jane Crum of Poland. Her parents preceded her in death.

Services will be held 12:30 PM Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Jay Eastman of Canfield Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow at Niles City Cemetery. Friends may call 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. A service by Warren Rebekah Lodge #453 will be conducted at 10:30 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
