Michael F. Shelko

Michael F. Shelko, 59, of Warren, died Thursday, August 2, 2007 at Hospice House in Poland. He was born November 23, 1947 in Windber, Pa., the son of Andrew F. and Pauline (Yankanich) Shelko.

Mr. Shelko worked as a machinist for Ajax Tocco Magnathermic Corp. He had been a member of Central Social and the Polish League of American Veterans. He enjoyed his friends, family, and pets, and had been an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Surviving are his daughter, Angela (Christopher) Phillips of Warren; four grandchildren: Hannah, Brady, Elaina, and Amarey Phillips; six sisters: Marie Large of Trevose, Pa., Paula Shelko of Ranchero Cucamanga, Calif., Loretta (Jay) Gire of Rialto, Calif., Geri (Bob) Fessler of Dunlo, Pa., Cathy (Dave) Czajkowski of Windber, Pa., and Candace Capazze of South Fork, Pa.; five brothers: John Shelko of Skiatook, Okla., Andrew (Joann) Shelko of Warren, Stan Shelko of Windber, Pa., Dave (Janie) Shelko of Cortland, and Thomas (Janie) Stefan of Warren. His parents precede him in death.

Services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2007 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Friends may call 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home Material contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, Ohio 44512.
