Michael Pastovich

Michael Pastovich, Sr., 84, of Bazetta, died at home 6:15 AM Saturday, July 29, 2006. He was born August 10, 1921 in Youngstown, the son of Nicholas and Mary Lapushansky Pastovich, and had lived in Trumbull County since 1953.

Mr. Pastovich was owner of P. & S. Drywall. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was an elder of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Cortland. He enjoyed ministry, being with his grandsons, dancing, and camping.

Surviving are his wife, Helen A. (Sait) Pastovich, whom he married April 18, 1953; a son, Michael Pastovich, Jr. and wife Terry of Cortland; two grandsons, Dylan Pastovich and Michael Dann; and three sisters: Helen Pavesich of Brimfield, Ohio, Catherine Bubick of Orlando, Fla., and Jean McClain of Zephyr Hills, Fla. Preceding him in death are his parents; three brothers: Andrew, Nicholas, and Charles Pastovich; and three sisters: Anne Parknavy, Mary Pastovich, and Stella Lisko.

Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, August 3, 2006 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Minister Steve Davenport officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Cortland. Friends may call 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday and 10:00 to 11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3043 Bradley Brownlee Rd. N.E., Cortland, Ohio 44410.
