Michael A. Merritt

Michael A. Merritt, 50, of Warren, died 1:25 PM Thursday, June 22, 2006 at St. Joseph Health Center. He was born May 5, 1956 in Cleveland, the son of Melvin and Betty F. Elmore Merritt, and had lived in the Warren area for over 25 years.

Mike had worked as a machinist and a carpenter. He was a member of Lifepoint Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, telling jokes, listening to music, reading his Bible, and most of all, his family.

He will be sadly missed by his children: Jessica Lazarek of Cleveland, and Crystal, Amber, Michael A. II, and Charles E. Merritt, all of Warren; seven grandchildren: Josh, Joseph, Jordan, LaVey, Robert, Amarion, and Trinity; two sisters: Sandra Giordani of Medina and formerly of Warren, and Michelle Merritt of Cleveland; and his former wife, Meloni Merritt of Warren. Preceding him in death are his parents; a brother, Clifford Merritt; and a sister, Karen Bryant.

Services will be 12:15 PM Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at Western Reserve Cemetery, Niles Rd. S.E., Warren, Ohio, with Rev. Corey Blair of Lifepoint Church officiating. Friends may call 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon Wednesday at McFarland & Son Funeral Home.
