Maxine B. Henry, 80 passed away at 8:30 AM, on Thursday, February 10, 2005 in her Howland, OH home.
She was born on Saturday, August 9, 1924, in New Castle, PA the daughter of the late Leroy Brown and Cynthia Kreske.
Maxine has lived in the Howland and Warren area for most of her life. She has wintered in Florida for the past 25 years.
Maxine married Emerson F. Henry on November 23, 1946 who preceded her in death on February 14, 1993.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Warren, OH. She taught at Bascom Elementary school in Leavittsburg, OH from 1963 to 1970. Maxine helped her husband run their construction company, E. Henry Construction, for over 40 years. Upon retirement she became her husbands First Mate on his boat in Florida. She enjoyed crafts, traveling and reading. Maxine loved to go on gambling boat cruises with her girl friends.
She loved spending time with her family of: 3 daughters; Diane (William) Nichols of Warren, OH, Cindy (Luther) Oberhaus of Louisville, KY, Susan (Steve) Littin of Huntsburg, OH, two sons; Herb (Eva) Henry of Cortland, OH, Tom (Cindy) Henry of Laguna Hills, CA, one brother, Lee (Marilyn) Brown of Cortland, OH, 5 Grandchildren; Rachel Strate of Gates Mills, OH, Geoffrey Oberhaus of Mason, OH, Robin Taylor of Farmington, MI, Sam and Jake Henry of Laguna Hills CA. Two Great grandchildren; Libbey and Paige Taylor of Farmington, MI. She is also survived by her beloved pet Schnauser, Cinder.
Visitation will be at MCFARLAND AND SON FUNERAL HOME on Sunday, February 13, 2005 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and First Presbyterian Church on Monday February 14, 2005 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Monday, February 14, 2005 at 10:30 AM
Burial will be at Crown Hill Burial Park, in Vienna, OH following the service.
Family requests that contributions in lieu of flowers be sent to the First Presbyterian Church, 256 Mahoning Ave., NW, Warren, OH 44483.
