Maureen Ann Kather of Liberty Twp., passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 in her residence after a long battle with numerous illnesses. She was 52.
Maureen was born in Youngstown on August 22, 1964, the daughter of Matthew and Dorothy Judge Findlay.
She was a 1982 graduate of Ursuline High School.
Mrs. Kather was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and sister. During her childhood, she attended St. Edward Church in Youngstown. Maureen found enjoyment spending time at home surrounded by her family. She would live vicariously through the stories her family shared with her of their day to day lives. Maureen enjoyed reading and loved the companionship of her faithful dogs. Most importantly she loved being a grandmother, and cherished the times she spent with her loving grandchildren.
Her husband, Vincent Kather Sr. whom she married in 1986, passed away in 1992.
She is survived by a son, Vincent Kather Jr. of Youngstown; a daughter, Jackie Ciarocco of Youngstown; her mother, Dorothy Findlay of Liberty; a sister, Colleen Findlay Quaranta and her husband Joseph of Oxford, MI; 4 grandchildren, Matthew, Jason, Gina, and Jarred; 2 nephews, Michael and Matthew Quaranta.
Mrs. Kather was preceded in death by her father and husband.
