Maureen L. Delaney

Maureen Lee Delaney, 58, of Warren, died 6:40 AM Thursday at Forum Health - Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born October 24, 1946 in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Janice (Hallock) and William S. Bedow, Jr., and had lived in the Warren area since 2001, coming from Charleston, S.C.

Mrs. Delaney was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Cortland. She had been selected to the National Honor Society while a student at Trident Technical College in Charleston. Her delights in life were reading, writing, praying, and her family.

Surviving are her husband, John Louis Delaney, whom she married June 9, 1969; her mother, Janice Bedow of Charleston, S.C.; eight children: Keith Delaney, Richard (Darlene) Delaney, and Theresa (Dominic III) Mercurio, all of St. Augustine, Fla., Diannah (Jay) Enger of Warren, Joseph John (Dianna) Delaney of Salisbury, N.C., Gregory Schill of Charleston, S.C., Darien Delaney of Ravenna, and Timothy (Michelle) Delaney of Orlando, Fla.; eleven grandchildren: Joshua, Meaghan, Jared, and Isaiah Enger, Shannon Dunbar, Charlene (Tim) Atkinson, Stacey Sampson, Dominic Mercurio IV, William, Ricky, and Dalton Delaney; five great-grandchildren: Nathan and Matthew Brown, Candice and Travis Nicholson, and Khristian Atkinson; two sisters: Diane (Mike) Maus of Tacoma, Wash. and Laura (Michael) Benke of Charleston, S.C.; and two brothers: Eric Bedow of Ravenna and Raymond (Trish) Jensen of Cincinnati.

Preceding her in death is her father, William S. Bedow, Jr.

Services for Mrs. Delaney will be 11:00 AM Monday, August 22, 2005 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 490 N. High St., Cortland, Ohio 44410, with Rev. Duane Jesse officiating. Friends may call 4:30 to 8:00 PM Sunday at McFarland & Son Funeral Home.
