Mary J. Kamenik, 91, of Champion, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Windsor House of Champion. She was born December 13, 1926, in Kansas, Ohio and was the beloved only daughter of John and Belva (Feasel) Wohlgamuth.
Mary graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught fifth grade for many years in the Margaretta Local Schools near Sandusky, OH. She married, Charles Kamenik, also a graduate of Bowling Green and an Elementary school teacher. The couple lived in Clyde, OH where they raised their two daughters. Charles passed away in 1992 and soon after Mary moved to Howland to be near her daughter Terry.
She is survived by her daughters, Terry (Ross) Williams of Warren and Debby (James) Milliron of Sebring, FL; four grandchildren, Kelly (Kyle) Tarry of Toledo, OH; Ryan Williams of Las Vegas, NV; Dr. Sarah Milliron of Toledo, OH and Ben (Amanda) Milliron of Toledo, OH.
There are no calling hours. A graveside service will take place at a later date at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Tiffin, OH.
