Mary G. Scriven

Mary Gertrude Scriven, 91, formerly of Niles, died 6:00 AM Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland. She was born Thursday, September 18, 1913, in Niles, the daughter of the late Charles J. and Rachel Lansdowne Webb.

Mrs. Scriven was a 1931 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. She had worked as a secretary for the Niles Times. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, where she had belonged to the Girls Friendly and Altar Guild.

Surviving Mrs. Scriven are two nieces, Beverly (Dennis) Pardee of Warren, and Rachel Gaskins of Colton, Calif.; and other family and friends.

Preceding Mrs. Scriven in death are her parents; her husband, George Scriven, whom she married in 1949 and who died February 17, 1973; three brothers, Charles B., Thomas, and William Webb; and a sister, Lettita Stantial.

Private services will be held. There are no calling hours. Material contributions may be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 348 Robbins Ave., Niles, Ohio 44446.
