Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Liby, 94, of Warren, died Sunday, December 9, 2007 at St. Joseph Health Center. She was born October 5, 1913 in Gratztown, Pa., the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Gardner) Pringle.

Mrs. Liby had worked in the family business, the Liby Construction Company of Warren and was a Warren charter member of the American Business Women's Association. She was an active member of First United Church of Christ, where she had served as church historian; as junior church director for 33 years; as a Sunday School teacher for 12 years; as president of the Heidelberg Guild; as an elder; and was the first woman elected as president of the consistory. She had also served as a volunteer and tutor at Roosevelt School. She enjoyed piano, organ, and crafts.

Surviving are her son, Richard "Dick" (Sherry) Berry of Champion; her nieces and nephews: Betty and Don Howren; DeAnn, Paul, and Alexa Muck; Dan, Carolyn, Jeff Pringle and Sandy Tarlton; and Dick, Mark, Brenda, and Scott Pringle. Preceding her in death are her parents; her first husband, Henry Berry; her second husband, Floyd D. Liby; a sister, Alice Murray; two brothers, Edward and Robert Pringle; and a step-son, Jack Liby.

Services will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. David Brown of First United Church of Christ and Rev. Rick Oaks of First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at North Jackson Cemetery. Friends may call 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
