Mary E. "Fossie" Harrell, 70, of Howland Twp., died 7:55 AM Friday, September 17, 2004 at Forum Health - Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born January 22, 1934 in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Chester L. and Edna Callis Elting.

Mrs. Harrell was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and had lived in the area since 1957. She had been a homemaker and the world's greatest mom. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, the Trowel and Hoe Garden Club, the Trumbull Memorial Hospital Women's Auxiliary, the Trumbull Country Club, the Upton Association, and former member of the YWCA Board of Directors. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, gardening, tatting, reading, and playing with her grandchildren.

Surviving Mrs. Harrell are five children: Shari (Chris Shape) Harrell, William D. (Kathy) Harrell, James A. Harrell, Lori Harrell, and Connie (Tom) Knight; and five grandchildren.

Preceding Mrs. Harrell in death are her parents; her husband, Robert E. Harrell; and two brothers: William R. and John D. Elting.

Services for Mrs. Harrell will be 1:00 PM Monday, September 20, 2004 at Christ Episcopal Church, 2627 Atlantic N.E., Warren, Ohio 44483, with the Rev. Robert A. Winter officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481, and also 12:00 to 1:00 PM Monday at the church. Material contributions may be made either to Christ Episcopal Church, or to the Trumbull Memorial Hospital Foundation, 1350 E. Market St., Warren, Ohio 44483.
