Mary Catherine Ashley

Mary Catherine Ashley, 84, of Leavittsburg, died 9:10 PM Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at Autumn Hills Care Center in Niles. She was born Thursday, February 24, 1921 in McKeesport, Maryland, the daughter of the late Harry Roger and Blanch Ryan Edmonson, and had lived in the area for 67 years, coming from Virginia.

Mary attended Leavittsburg Community Church and had been employed as a housekeeper at Warren General Hospital for 30 years, retiring in 1986.

Mary is survived by four children: Richard (Cathy) Ashley of Howland, Phyllis (George) Krupa of Middlefield, Joanne (Joseph) Miller of Howland, and Norman Ashley of Newton Falls; nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Preceding Mary in death are her parents; her husband, Harry Kenneth Ashley, who died in August, 1981; two sisters; and one brother.

Services for Mary will be 1:00 PM Monday, June 13, 2005 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pine Knoll Cemetery.
