Martin Berlic, 88 of Niles, OH, died April 8, 2007 at Windsor House of Champion. Martin was born December 15, 1918, the son of Louis Burlitz of Slovenia and Helen (Dukmenic) Berlic of Smithon, PA. He was an U.S. Army veteran of WWII serving in the Pacific Theatre. Martin was a design engineer at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Akron, OH consulting and traveling world wide. He was also a Certified Reflexologist. His many hobbies included fishing, hunting, and serving as a professional fishing guide on the area's popular lakes.
Martin is survived by his wife Phyllis Emery Morgan whom he married September 1, 1978. He is also survived by his son Martic C. "Ollie" and Marcia Berlic of Coscob, CT. Step-daughters Vicki (Gary) Fellenger, Lakeland, FL., Sheri (Vince) Rago, Austintown, OH., Pamela (Robert) Bosko, Pittsfield, PA., two grandchildren Oliver and Stephanie Berlic, eight step-grandchildren, Amy Stetson, Shannon Yonnotti, Nicole Rago, Eric Frank and Lance Harding, Shawn and Kristian Bosko, four step-great-grandchildren and a sister Mary Mesaros of Palm Beach Gardens FL.
Service will be held at McFarland & Son Funeral Services, 271 N. Park Ave., Warren, Ohio 44481, Thursday at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Bill Carter of Believer's Christian Fellowship officiating. Family and friends may call from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday April 11, 2007 and 12:00-1:00 P.M. Thursday April 12, 2007. Interment will follow at Champion Township Cemetery.
