Martha W. Moore, 80 of Howland, died 5:45 PM Monday, February 14, 2005 at Crown Center at Laurel Lake in Hudson. She was born Saturday, June 7, 1924, in Warren, the daughter of the late Robert Alston and Nellie Anthony Weaver.
Martha was a 1942 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and attended secretarial school at Youngstown Business College. She had worked as a librarian at North Road Elementary School in Howland for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Warren; Morning Light Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star; a 40-year member of Ali Baba Cauldron; the Warren Republican Women; Women's Civic Federation; Mobile Meals; and was an avid bridge player.
Martha is survived by five sons: Timothy P. (Vicky) Moore of Kennesaw, Ga., David K. (Laurie) Moore of Hudson, Scot A. (Molly) Moore of Chagrin Falls, Paul R. (Peggy) Moore of Saylorsville, Pa., and Eric R. (Mary) Moore of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; a sister, Lola J. Thombs of Salt Lake City, Utah; and eleven grandchildren: Alayna, Katie, Christopher, Sean, Maggie, Mary, Robert, Ryan, Erin, Eric, and Tracy Moore.
Services for Martha will be 10:00 AM Friday, February 18, 2005 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481, with Rev. Rick Oaks of First United Methodist Church officiating. Inurnment at Crown Hill Burial Park will take place at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday and 9:00 to 10:00 AM Friday. Eastern Star services will be held at the funeral home at 5:00 PM Thursday. Material contributions may be made to Mobile Meals, 280 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481.
