Warren, Ohio - Marjorie V. Sudimack, 94, died Tuesday July 4, 2017 in Los Alamitos, California. She was born on January 2, 1923 in Mineral City, Ohio, the daughter of the late William and Maud Straub Voelm.
Marjorie was a graduate of East Sparta High School and attended Mt. Union College. She lived her 94 years to the fullest. Marge began volunteer driving for Mobile Meals in the 1960s. In the 1970s she started driving for the American Red Cross, providing transportation for the ill when they were unable to provide it for themselves. When that service was discontinued, Marge continued to volunteer with the American Cancer Society's Road to Recovery program from 2005-2016. She took patients as far as Cleveland and Pittsburgh for doctor appointments. She drove anywhere between 8,000-10,000 volunteer miles a year. Marge's quiet but effective mission was to help those who cannot help themselves. Marge loved to travel, bike, walk, and drive. She has been compared to the Energizer Bunny by many who knew her. She was a 2009 Trumbull County Community Star. In her 94 years, the number of miles she has logged in a plane, on her bike, on her feet, or in her car would be astounding.
Marge has been a parishioner at Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church for over 70 years. She volunteered as a bookkeeper for the school until it closed in 2005. She continued to volunteer for the church and has been an active member of that community most of her life.
Memories of Marjorie will be carried on by daughter Rebecca Sudimack Fallon of Los Alamitos, California, daughter-in-law Ilona Sudimack of Cortland, Ohio, 10 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband George A. Sudimack, M.D., sons Allan and Thomas Sudimack, son-in-law William Fallon, and brother Maurice Voelm.
