Surviving are three children: Charles M. (Laurie) James of Warren, Suzanne (Ralph) Mantooth, and Stephan D. (Patricia Hice) James; a granddaughter, Tracie (Dustin) Bull; and a great-grandson, Jed Bull, all of Knoxville, Tenn.; a sister-in-law, Mary Jones of Shelbyville, Ky.; and many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Carolyn (David) Schaaf of Louisville, Ky. Preceding her in death are her husband, John W. James, whom she marked November 10, 1945 and who died June 19, 1994; and three brothers: Charles, Robert, and William James.
