Marilyn Ruth Williams

February 8, 1930 — September 8, 2014

Marilyn Ruth Williams, of Mineral Ridge, formerly of Prospect St. Niles, passed away in Vista Center at the Ridge on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 10:05 p.m. She was 84.

Marilyn was born February 8, 1930 in Warren, the daughter of William and Henrietta Marvin Gibson.

She attended Warren G. Harding High School. Following high school, Marilyn was employed at the Niles Moose Lodge 627 and retired after 37 years as a bartender.

Mrs. Williams was of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Religion. She was a member of 113 Chapter Women of the Moose, Niles, Eagles Club Local 1476 of Niles. Marilyn enjoyed crafts, bingo, playing 500 rummy, traveling to the casinos to play slot machines, and baking. Most importantly she loved her family.

Her husband, Richard H. Williams Sr. whom she married February 28, 1948, passed away on April 5, 2005 after 57 years of marriage.

Mrs. Williams is survived by, a son, Richard H. Williams Jr. and his companion Terri Natale of Lordstown, OH; 3 daughters, Linda Eatwell of Santa Paula, CA, Debi Williams and her companion Harry Putnam of Howland, OH, and Sandra and her husband Darell Meeks of Painsville, OH; a brother, Chuck Gibson and his wife Mary of Lordstown, OH; 6 grandchildren, Michael and Darrin Williams, Kimberly Flynn, James M. Newsom, Anthony Wisen and Heather Kincaid; 7 great grandchildren, James, Makayla, Zachary, Jeremy, Jacob, Nevaeh, and Derek.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marilyn was preceded in death by, 3 sisters, Billie Ritter, Juanita Ward, and Carolyn "Dutch" Miller.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home and Cremation Services LLC 614 Warren Ave. Niles, OH 44446

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 7 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Nathan Howe, pastor of Niles First United Methodist Church.
