Marilyn L. Brown

Marilyn L. Brown, 77, of Cortland, died at home Saturday, May 17, 2008. She was born August 25, 1930 in Warren, the daughter of Harold and Eunice (Cross) Jones, and had lived in Trumbull County her entire life.

Mrs. Brown was a 1948 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and worked for the Trumbull County Board of Elections for over ten years. A member of the Four Seasons Garden Club in Cortland since 1969, she enjoyed gardening, flowers, and crafts. She was also a member of First Presbyterian Church of Warren and its Kirk Club.

Surviving are her husband, LeRoy Brown, whom she married May 20, 1950; three sons: Dean L. Brown of Franklin, N.C., Dennis M. Brown of Ravenna, and David D. Brown of Warren; and a granddaughter, Nicole M. Brown of Niles. Her parents precede her in death.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Rusty Cowden officiating. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park. Friends may call 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
