Marguerite L. Ferguson, 86, of Warren, died at home Monday, April 30, 2007. She was born July 28, 1920 in Irondaale, Ohio, the daughter of James N. and Lena V. (Householder) Rose.
Mrs. Ferguson was a graduate of Irondale High School. She enjoyed being with people and worked in sales for Sarah Coventry Jewelers. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and reading. She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, and a former member of VFW Post 1090 Auxiliary and the American Business Women's Association.
Surviving are her children: Charles J. (Eleanor) Hurton of Detroit, Mich., Betty R. Hurton of Warren, Joseph A. (Nicolette) Hurton of Cortland, and Marguerite L. (Paul) Burwell of Warren; six grandchildren: Kent (Lisa) Hurton, Halle (John) Raisigel, Amy and Amber Hurton, Dawn (Phil) Rogers, and Matthew Burwell; eleven great-grandchildren; a sister, Rebecca Thomas of Canton; and a brother, Howard (Wilda) Rose of Oklahoma. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, George H. Ferguson, whom she married August 10, 1967 and who died January 23, 1990; one sister; and three brothers.
Services will be 4:00 pm Saturday, May 5, 2007 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. David R. Black of Calvary Presbyterian Church officiating. Friends may call 3-4 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
