Margaret Thomas

Bristolville, Ohio - Margaret Emma Thomas, 81, died Friday, March 25, 2016 at University Hospital, Cleveland. She was born on October 30, 1934 in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Clarence and Lena (Acklin) Phillips.

Margaret was employed by the Bristolville Local Schools as a Bus Driver and retired in 1999. She was a member of Moose Chapter #341 Cortland, Ohio Horseman Council, and volunteered as a 4H advisor for many years. She had a lifelong passion for trail and horse riding.

She married her husband Sherman Thomas May 14th, 1951 and who preceded her in death on November 30. 2005.

Memories of Margaret will be carried on by her daughter, Joyce (Dan) Francosky of Mecca Twp., son, Albert (Karen) Thomas of Bristolville, granddaughter, Jacqlynn (Bryan) Dawson of Southington, and sister, Ruth Milleson of Lindsey, OH,

She was preceded in death by her husband, and sisters, Marie Headley, Jean Cowen, and brothers, Roy Phillips, and Chester Phillips.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 30, 6:00 pm till 8:00pm, and Thursday, March 31, from 10:00 am til 11:00 am at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home Thurs at 11:00 am. Graveside with final committal services will be held at noon Friday April 1, 2016 at Prosperity Cemetery in Prosperity, Pennsylvania.

Her family suggest contributions be made in the form of donations to the donor's favorite charity.
