Margaret C. Rees, 93, of Niles, died Friday, June 6, 2008 at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren. She was born November 24, 1914 in Girard, Ohio, the daughter of Henry and Blanche Crider.
Mrs. Rees graduated from Girard High School before earning her bachelor's degree at Ohio Wesleyan University. She taught Home Economics for the Youngstown City Schools as well as in East Sparta. She had been a member of the Youngstown Country Club and the Saturday Evening Dancing Club.
Her first husband, William W. Campbell, a prominent Warren contractor, died in 1969. Later, she married William D. Rees, a superintendent in the steel industry for thirty years.
Surviving are a son, William (Judy) Campbell of Niles; a daughter, Mary Lopez of Americus, Georgia; and two grandchildren, William & Laura. She is preceded in death by her first and second husbands, William W. Campbell and William D. Rees; and her two sisters, Mrs. Marion Williams and Mrs. Henrietta Moore
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2008 at First Presbyterian Church, 256 Mahoning Ave N.W., Warren, Ohio 44483, with Rev. Rusty Cowden officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Material contributions may be made either to Hospice of the Valley, 1296 Tod Place N.W., Warren, Ohio 44585, or to the donor's favorite charity, in the name of Margaret C. Rees.
