Margaret E. Jacobs

Margaret Elizabeth Jacobs, 99, of Palmyra Rd., Lordstown, died Sunday, September 21, 2008 at home. She was born December 28, 1908 in Leechburg, Pa., the daughter of Andrew M. and Julia (Ulisynck) Reho. Formerly of Newton Falls, the family moved to Lordstown in 1935.

She had been employed at the Newton Falls greenhouse, the Lordstown Depot during World War II, and Packard Electric.

On September 1, 1928, she married Albert Jacobs, who died October 18, 1977. Together, she and her husband co-owned the co-op of the Farmers Market on Tod Avenue.

She attended Christ Our King Church, where she had been a member of the Altar & Rosary Society and a CCD teacher. She enjoyed her flower gardens.

Surviving are her daughter, Donna (George) Kascsak of Lordstown; her son, George (Elizabeth) Jacobs of Lordstown; six grandchildren: Mariann (Gregory) Leopold, Richard (Patricia) Kascsak, Elizabeth (Eric) Ginkinger, David (Stephanie), Albert, and Jennifer Jacobs; nine great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband; and four brothers, Michael, Stephen, John, and George Reho.

Services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Christ Our King Catholic Church, 1000 Tod Ave. S.W., Warren, Ohio 44485, with Fr. James Walker officiating. Interment will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery in Niles. Friends may call 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at McFarland & Son Funeral Home.
