Margaret F. Gillette, 84, formerly of Warren, died Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Consulate Health Care, North Fort Myers, Fla. She was born July 28, 1927 in Warren, the daughter of Dr. Paul and Margaret (Roderus) Fisher, and had lived in Warren all her life.
A January, 1946 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Mrs. Gillette was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She also belonged to the YWCA, the Olympic Club, and had been a Brownie leader.
Surviving are two children, Deborah (Jack) Copeland of North Fort Myers, Florida and Douglas (Joni) Gillette of Warren; two granddaughters, Kim Ennis and Kristy Noe of Cape Coral, Florida; a grandson, Ryan Gillette of Columbus, Ohio; and two great-grandchildren, Chase Sealander and Zoe Noe, both of Cape Coral, Florida. Preceding her in death is her husband, Charles A. Gillette, whom she married December 31, 1948 and who died April 16, 2008, and a brother, Donald Fisher of Warren.
Margaret's life will be celebrated with a service at 12:00 noon Saturday, April 14, 2012 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Rick Oaks of First United Methodist Church officiating. Inurnment will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park. Friends may call 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Material contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
