Margaret M. Fairchild

WARREN - Margaret M. Fairchild, 94, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Signature Healthcare of Warren. She was born on August 23, 1920 in Warren, the beloved daughter of the late Ruby Kurfis McCafferty.

Margaret was a graduate of Champion High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and having family get-togethers. She was a former member of the Delightful Evangelical Congregational Church in Southington. She enjoyed reading her Bible and any religious books she could find. She loved going to garage sales to find special treasures.

Memories of Margaret will be carried on by daughters, Nancy Brinkley of Navarre, Judy Graham of Southington, Cynthia (Carl) Miller of Champion, Susan (Gary) Bailey of Mantua, Karen (Tom) Schmidt of Warren; sons, Allen (Pat) Fairchild of Beach City, OH, Gary (Patty) Fairchild of Champion; son-in-law, Steve Skaggs of Champion; 19 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Elsie Weir of Ashtabula.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby McCafferty; husband, Noah F. Fairchild, Jr., whom she married June 28, 1941 and preceded her in death in 1984; daughters, Valerie Skaggs, Lauraine Fairchild, Mary Fairchild; son-in-laws, Ronald Brinkley, James R. Graham; grandson, James F. Graham; brothers, Bill McCafferty, Walter McCafferty; and sister, Ruth McCafferty.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, Warren. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Final committal will be held at a later date at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.
