Madelyn B. "Lynn" Myers, 85, of Warren, Ohio, died Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Victoria House in Austintown, Ohio. She was born February 17, 1925 in Johnstown, Pa., the daughter of Dr. H. Wilbur and Madge (Walker) Black, and had lived in the Warren area for nearly sixty years.
A graduate of Indiana, Pa. High School and Grove City College, Mrs. Myers taught high school math in Vandergrift, Pa. and worked as a bookkeeper for Superior Printing in Warren. A member of First United Methodist Church of Warren, she was active in the church's bowling and golf leagues, and in many other church activities. She enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, and was an avid reader.
Surviving are two children, Marsha (Gene) Camuso of Plano, Tex. and Jeffrey L. (Judy) Myers of Poland, Ohio; a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Camuso; a sister and brother-in-law, Martha Jane (John) Craig of Punta Gorda, Fla.; and a sister-in-law, Mary Black of Hagerstown, Md. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Gerald L. Myers, whom she married June 24, 1949 and who died October 26, 2000; a brother, Wilbur W. Black; and a stepmother, Sigrid "Swanee" Black.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Rick Oaks officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park. Friends may call 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Material contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 309 N.
