Lucile L. Turner

Lucile Linn Turner, 91, of Warren, died 7:15 PM Thursday, March 31, 2005 at Woodward Hills Nursing Center, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. She was born Tuesday, March 17, 1914 in Warren, the daughter of the late Fred J. and Nelle Hoffman Eatwell.

Mrs. Turner was a 1933 graduate of Warren G. Harding High Schol and attended Mount Union College. She had worked as manager of the gift shop at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She belonged to First United Methodist Church and its Joy Circle; the Alpha Xi Delta sorority - Trumbull County chapter; the Trumbull County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society; the Trumbull County Historical Society; the Daughters of the American Revolution; and the Monday Afternoon Club.

Surviving Mrs. Turner is her husband, Scott S. Turner, whom she married December 26, 1942; four daughters: Carol Emerson of New Concord, Ohio, Nancy Glen (Bob Knop) of Redlands, Calif., Linda (Bill) Fisher of Rochester Hills, Mich., and Barb (Kevin) Walro of Louisville, Ky.; a niece, Elizabeth (David) Haase of Alexandria, Va.; nine grandchildren: Meri Linn, Jamie (Stacie), Rob, and J.D. Emerson, Amy (Ken) Magruder, Scott Klinger, Matthew (Jackie) and Kristin Fisher, and Zachary Walro; and four great-grandsons: Braeden Emerson, and Michael, Jonathan, and Brian Magruder.

Preceding Mrs. Turner in death are her parents; a sister, Olive Eatwell; and a son-in-law, James Emerson.

Services for Mrs. Turner will be 9:00 AM Monday, April 4, 2005 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481, with Rev. Rick Oaks of First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday.
