Lois S. Snelson

Lois S. Snelson, of Warren died Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Forum Health - Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born March 21, 1938 in Green Bay, WI, the daughter of Dr. Robert and Jean Southard.

Mrs. Snelson was a 1960 graduate of DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Shortly thereafter, she began to teach tenth grade in Howland High School before becoming a realtor with the David Gibson Company. She went on to become a broker and a fifty percent owner of Snelson & Stevens Realtors for over fifteen years. Lois was named President of the Warren Area Board of Realtors, served on the Real Estate Arbitration Board, was a member of the President Sales Club, and Realtor of the Year. Lois also served on the vestry of Christ Episcopal Church, and volunteered for the TMH Hospital Women's Auxiliary.

Lois is survived by her husband of 48 years, Lynn A. Snelson, whom she married July 9, 1960; two daughters, Jennifer Snelson of West Palm, FL and Tamara (Mark) Craig of Minneapolis, MN; a son, Ralph (Erica) Snelson of Warren; four grandchildren: Jessica and Caleigh Craig of Minneapolis, MN, and Jacob and Brady Snelson of Warren. She is also survived by one brother, Robert Southard of Norman, OK.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday December 14, 2008, at the Christ Episcopal Church, with Rev. Donna L. Maree officiating.
