Lois M. Lickwar

Lois M. Lickwar, 73, passed peacefully into eternal rest with her family by her side on Thursday, December 30, 2010. A longtime resident of Lordstown, OH, she was born November 2, 1937 in Warren, OH to Eugene and Margaret (Starkey) Henn.
She was a 1955 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and was employed as a clerk and secretary for Judge Joseph Craciun, Household Finance, Trailer Craft Manufacturing, Country Home Collection and Lordstown Village. She was a member of the Lordstown Christian Church and also served as US Census taker, softball and soccer coach and Camp Fire Leader. She enjoyed gardening, vacationing in Florida, water skiing and spending time with her family.
Lois was married to Michael P. Lickwar from January 11, 1966 until his death on March 17, 1988. They were loving parents to their 5 children; sons, Michael Scott Lickwar and James A. "Skip" (Alisha) Lickwar and daughters Lisa (Tom) Paisley, Amanda S. (Brian) Force and Melany Lickwar, all of Lordstown as well as grandchildren Hannah, Arkansas, Brennen, Haley, Cadence, Jack, Aiden, Dani and Ganon. Early in their marriage they were foster parents to brothers Clark and Louis, Missy and twin sisters Diane and DeeDee.
She was preceded in death by husband Michael P. Lickwar, sister Margaret Gunter and brother Ronald E. Henn. She is survived by sister Charleen (George) Cuckovich of Lordstown.
Calling hours are 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday, January 03, 2011 at the McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren, OH. Services will be held at Lordstown Christian Church, January 4, 2011 at 10:00 AM.
