Linda K. Smith

Linda "Kay" Smith, 66, of Cortland, died Monday, March 10, 2008 at Forum Health - Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. She was born February 7, 1942 in Webster County, W. Va., the daughter of Robert and Alberta (Daniels) Beathe, and had lived in Trumbull County most of her life.

Ms. Smith worked as an inspector for Delphi Packard for over 40 years, retiring in 2003. She enjoyed shopping, sunning in the summer, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed by her sons, Robert N. (Dana) Smith of Chipita Park, Colo., and Richard L. (Melissa) Smith, Jr. of Leavittsburg; her grandchildren, Neven R. and Taylor K. Smith; a sister, Janet (Lawrence) Haffner of Bristolville; and a brother, Robert "Bob" Beathe of Warren. Her parents precede her in death.

A memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2008 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Nicholas Furrie of Shiloh Full Gospel Church in Girard officiating. Friends may call 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
