Lily J. Simones

LORDSTOWN - Lily J. Simones, 47, died September 29, 2006 at 4:14 PM at University Hospital, Cleveland. She was born November 1, 1958 in Warren, a daughter of the late Cleophus Willis Cole and the late Doris Mae Cole.

Lily, an area resident all her life, was a member of First Baptist Church of Howland/Bailey Road Baptist Church. She was a faithful Christian, devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her hobbies included scrap booking, cooking, crocheting, quilting, and gardening.

She leaves her husband, Gary Wayne Simones, whom she married July 9, 1977; three daughters: Rebekah Mae Simones, Carrie Marie Simones, and Heidi Lynn Simones, all of Lordstown; two sons: Phillip James Simones and Ryan Wayne Simones, both of Lordstown; and three grandchildren: Ariel Lynn Mae Simones, Lily Anne Marie Simones, and Conner Riley Campbell.

She also leaves two sisters: Karen Ream of Cyril, Okla., and Jeanine Slomcheck of Warren; and three brothers: Gary O'Neil of Raleigh, N.C., Robert Cole of Endwell, N.Y., and Gordon Cole. One sister, Naoma (Cole) Hurd, is deceased.

Friends may call 12:00 to 2:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. The funeral is 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at the funeral home, where friends may also call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Jerry Croyts of First Baptist Church, Howland will officiate. Interment will follow at Lordstown Village Cemetery. Material contributions may be made to the family.
