Lewis Morgan Jenkins, Jr. 83, of Warren, died 3:01 PM Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at Forum Health-Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born March 3, 1922 in Warren, the son of Lewis M. and Gertrude Jones Jenkins, Sr.

Lew was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and attended college at Cal State-Fullerton. He had been a first-class boilermaker in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft as director of schedule and operations. He is a former member of Elks lodges in Florida and Warren, and a former member of the Warren chapter of the Barbershoppers.

Lew was active with Christ Episcopal Church in Warren, where he loved to sing, cook, and served as a host family for the Bowling Green Men's Choir. He was also active with the Trumbull County Humane Society and especially enjoyed rescuing animals.

Lew will be very sadly missed by his wife, Catherine D. "Becky" Nicholls Jenkins, whom he married January 29, 1982; by his two special companions, Buddy and Penny; and by family and his many friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents; his brother, Charles D. Jenkins; and his sister, Martha E. Wiseman.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 10, 2005 at Christ Episcopal Church, 2627 Atlantic St. N.E., Warren, Ohio 44483, with Fr. Robert Winter officiating. Inurnment in the Christ Episcopal columbarium will follow. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday. Material contributions may be made to either Christ Episcopal Church or to the Trumbull County Humane Society, 409 Harmon N.W., P.O. Box 610, Warren, Ohio 44482.
