Lester H. Wood

Lester H. Wood Jr., 63. of Mineral Ridge, Ohio, died January 29, 2010 at St. Joseph Health Center, Warren, Ohio. He was born in July 30, 1946 Binghamton, New York, the son of Lester Wood Sr. and the late Gladys Howland.

He retired as a manager of a cattle farm, coming to this area 30 years ago from Colorado.

Mr. Wood is survived by sons Erik Wood Sr. of Colorado, Jon Hart-Wood of Warren, Joshua Hart-Wood of Ashtabula, Ohio and daughters Nance Wood Drum of New York, Shawn Wood DeLucia of Georgia, Sandy Wood Leach of Colorado and Amber Hart-Wood of North Carolina. He also leaves sisters Kathryn Barron of Kent, Ohio, Gayle, Lourie, and Wendy of New York and a brother, Michael Wood, also of New York. He was preceded in death by his mother, and children Richard Wood, Denise Wood and Jacob Wood.

Cremation has taken place. Friends may call 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Route 19 Schiestle Auction House, 537 North Perry Hwy., Mercer, Pa. 16137. His urn will be laid to rest at a later date at the Port Crane Cemetery, Port Crane, N.Y., with a memorial service that same day at the Center Lisle Congregational Church in Center Lisle, N.Y.
