Lester Lampman

Warren, Ohio - Lester E. Lampman Sr., 85, died Saturday, July 8, 2017 at his residence. He was born on June 3, 1932 in Troupsburg, New York, the son of the late Truman Lampman Sr. and Dorthea Baker Ordiway.

Lester was employed by the City of Warren Water Department, Laird Ave. Plant as a Supervisor. Mr. Lampman was an avid member of the Newton Falls, Horseshoe Pitching League and life member of VFW Post #3332. He belonged to a Thursday night men's classic bowling league. He loved to drink coffee, read, crossword puzzles, watching sports and his backyard. He faithfully served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict.

Memories of Lester will be carried on by his daughter, Linda (Denny) Cowger of Niles, sons: Lester (Kathy) Lampman, Jr, of Leavittsburg, Larry (fiancAC. Kelly Heslop) Lampman of Warren, and Lawson Hollenbaugh of Niles, second wife, Maxcene Sullivan Lampman of Youngstown, grandchildren:, Denny Cowger, Rob and Michael Hollenbaugh, Nick and Shaun Lampman, Rachel Allaby, and Ashley Beck, along with nine great-grandchildren.

With much love and appreciation to our cousin Trisha Reese, for her loving care she gave to our father.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anne Croyle Lampman, brother, Jack, Wayne and Truman Lampman, Jr., sisters, Ila, Edith and Irene, grandson, Jason Michael Lampman, granddaughter, Alyssa Nicole Cowger, and grand-dog Molly.

Lester's family would like to whole heartily thank the Hospice of the Valley for their support and compassion.

His family will receive friends Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 11:00 am til1:00 pm at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren. Services will be held directly following the visitation at McFarland & Son at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jason Allen officiating. Services of final committal will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

His family suggests contributions be made in the form of donations to the, Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St, Youngstown, OH 44512, and/or Salvation Army of Trumbull Co., 270 Franklin St. SE Warren, OH 44483.
