Leroy Lester Machamer

Leroy Lester Machamer, 82, of Warren, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 4, 1926 in Harrisburg, Pa., the son of Frank and Alfreda (Miller), and had lived in Trumbull County since 1950.

A World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Machamer had worked as a machine operator for both Mullens Manufacturing and Van Huffel Tube Corp. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Cross Trailers Square Dance Club, and enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Anne (Yeater) Machamer, whom he married April 4, 1982; his children: Shirley and John Wolbert of Champion, Perry Yeater and wife Lorelei Allen of Kinsman, Martha and Robert Hoskin of Nelson Twp., and Rosemary and Nick Rodriguez of Warren; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Francis Machamer of Camp Hill, Pa. and Alfred and Julia Machamer of New Cumberland, Pa.; and a sister, Mary Warren of Harrisburg, Pa. Preceding him in death are his parents; a daughter, Carol Crawford; a granddaughter, four great-grandchildren; and three brothers: Donald, Frank, and Irvin Machamer.

Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2008 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Yesudas Devadan officiating. Friends may call 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Private interment will take place at Meadow Brook Memorial Park in Champion.
