Leona B. Snell

Leona B. Snell, 76, of Warren, died Friday, September 3, 2010 at Forum Health - Trumbull Memorial Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 12, 1933 in Chardon, the daughter of Charles and Grace (McGann) Stowe, and had lived in Trumbull County all her adult life.

A homemaker, Mrs. Snell had been a social member of the NAUS club in Warren. She enjoyed traveling and visiting, especially in West Virginia, and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her husband, James A. Snell, whom she married December 15, 1952; five children: James "Pete" (Nina) Snell of Garrettsville, Mary K. (James) Sable of Champion, Russell D. (Dianne M.) Snell of Warren, Robert W. (Kim) Snell of Leavittsburg, and Debbie A. Boyle of Warren; sixteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three sisters: Betty Parish of Florida, Doris Nadiak of Warren, and Marian Rose of Madison, Ohio; and a brother, Charles Stowe. Preceding her in death are her parents; a sister, Bertha Jeffries; and four brothers: Wayne, John, Lewis, and Robert Stowe.

A memorial service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2010 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Friends may call 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
