Leah Selina Johnson

Leah Selina Johnson, age 96, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2011 at her residence. She was born December 25, 1915. She was born in Counneaut, OH and was the daughter of Emil Paananen and Lydia (Titto) Paananen.

Leah graduated from Conneaut High School and also from the Spencer Ryan Business College located in Cleveland, OH. Leah worked as a secretary for Anheiser-Busch. She studied and enjoyed art and writing. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Warren, OH.

She married Norman C. Johnson, August 25, 1939 who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters; Patricia Lee Stewart of Columbus, OH, and Brook (Frank) Bray of OR; 4 Grandchildren; Shana Lee Ross, Kecia Lee Annis, Heather Williams-Downing, and Chad Williams; 6 Great-Grandchildren; Lindzy Annis, Joshua Annis, Jamie Annis, Hayden Downing, Corbin Downing, Kededi Rowlands. Preceding her in death are her parents, and a sister, Shirley Paananen.

A Memorial Service is being held, Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 1:00 PM at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, Warren, OH, with Pastor Yesudas Devadan of First United Methodist Church officiating.
