Lawrence Joseph Maggio

Lawrence Joseph Maggio of Warren passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 4:55 a.m. in the emergency room of St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was 67.

Mr. Maggio was born in Yonkers, NY on August 23, 1950, the son of the late Joseph and Emily Gazdick Maggio.

He was a graduate of Saunders Trades and Technical High School. Larry drove a checker cab for many years along with being a truck driver.

Mr. Maggio was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed painting, cooking, and baking for his family and friends. Most importantly he was a loving father and devoted husband.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Lee Ann Maggio; 6 children, Jennifer L. Maggio, Joseph L Maggio, Emily F. (Greg) Myers, Michael S. Maggio, Elijah M. (Selena) Maggio, and Loretta A. Maggio; an 8 month old granddaughter, Hazel R. Maggio; 4 sisters, Dorothy (Rajinder) Hunjan, Evelyn Maggio, Barbara (Thomas) Furia, Jeanette (Gildardo) Jimenez; 3 nephews Jean-Paul Jimenez, Christopher Jimenez, and Steven Jimenez.

In addition to his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph R. Maggio.

Calling hours will be on Friday, March 16, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home & Cremation Services LLC 614 Warren Ave. Niles, OH 44446. There will also be calling hours one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

Internment will take place in Niles City Cemetery.
