Laurene E. Powell

Laurene E. (Reller) Powell, 85, of Warren, died 9:05 AM Saturday, February 28, 2004 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital-Forum Health.

She was born on Friday, November 8, 1918, in Monroe County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Chester A. and Lulu Walters Reller.

Mrs. Powell had graduated high school and had earned an associate's degree in business. She had worked for many years as a secretary with the State of Ohio Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation. She enjoyed painting and flea markets.

Surviving Mrs. Powell are two sons: Rick Powell of Warren and Jon Powell of Howland; and two grandchildren: Richard J. Powell of Warren and Karlene Pappada of South Carolina.

Preceding Mrs. Powell in death are her parents; her husband, Charles L. Powell, who died June 30, 1987; a brother, Lloyd "Buddy" Reller; and a sister, Ruth Jones.

Services for Mrs. Powell will be 12:00 Noon Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery in Bethesda, Ohio, with interment to follow. There are no calling hours.
