Laura M. Nagy, 90, died 4:24 AM Friday, March 11, 2005 at Autumn Hills Care Center in Niles. She was born February 15, 1915 in Weirton, W. Va., the daughter of the late Elletro and Anna Labani Mantovani.
Mrs. Nagy was a homemaker and attended St. Mary's Catholic Church. She had belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Wally Byam Airstream Caravan Club, and had traveled extensively throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Surviving Mrs. Nagy are her daughter, Betty A. Conway of Warren; five grandchildren: Mace, Christopher, Terrence Conway, Alex J. Nagy, and Diane (Doug) Guden; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Ermy Mantovani of Warren; a sister, Esther Lego of Tamarac, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Eleanor Nagy of Columbus, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Mary Sake; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Preceding Mrs. Nagy in death are her parents; her husband, Alex J. Nagy, whom she married June 1, 1935 and who died December 11, 1985; a son, Alex E. Nagy; and two sisters: Jacqueline English and Angela Scornavacca.
Services for Mrs. Nagy will be 1:30 PM Monday, March 14, 2005 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481, with Fr. Bernard Schmalzried of St. Mary's Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday. Material contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity, in the name of Laura M. Nagy.
