Laura E. Gillam

Laura E. Gillam, 62, of Warren, died at home Tuesday, March 10, 2009. She was born October 27, 1946 in Marion, Ohio, the daughter of Alfred and Helen (Allaback) Wilson.

Mrs. Gillam had worked as a sales associate for Wal-Mart. A member of North-Mar Church of the Christian & Missionary Alliance, she enjoyed bowling, camping, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed by her mother, Helen Wilson of Warren; her children: Patricia Eileen (Christopher) Tress of Niles, Teresa Marie (Jesse, Jr.) Mason of Princeton, La., and Cynthia Ann Gillam of Warren; eight grandchildren: Jesse Edward, Joshua Nathaniel, and Jason Lee Mason, Heather Nicole and Nicholas Sebastian Tress, Steven Austin, Hailey LeeAnn and Nadia Marie Currence; two sisters, Joyce and Patricia; a brother, Charles Wilson of Tiffin; her many friends; and Buttercup, her four-legged friend and constant companion. Preceding her in death are her father; her husband, William Edward Gillam, whom she married July 17, 1966 and who died September 23, 2005; and two sisters, Rose and Frances.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at North-Mar Church, 3855 E. Market St., Warren, Ohio 44484, with Rev. Scott Praxl officiating. Interment at Pineview Memorial Park will follow. Friends may call 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
